About Naomi Keighley

Head of Ballet

Naomi is originally from the UK and began her ballet training at the age of 4 at The Angela Westwell School of Dance. Here she trained to Advanced 2 RAD Ballet and an advanced level in IDTA Ballet, Modern and Tap.  Alongside this over a 6 year period, she received monthly training with The Royal Ballet School and The Hammond School. She competed for 9 years in dance festivals in the North of England; winning numerous trophies and awards.

Naomi went on to further her career, moving to London at the age of 16 after sealing a place at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. She graduated with a 2:1 BA Honours Degree in Ballet and Contemporary Dance and performed and choreographed for shows at the Royal Opera House and Sadler’s Wells. Upon graduation she was offered a position as apprentice dancer with Contemporary dance company Phoenix Dance Theatre UK Tour in 2012.

Alongside her early dance studies, Naomi assisted in dance classes at her local dance school where her interest in teaching began.  She attained her Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma with the Royal Academy of Dance crediting her with registered teacher status in 2016 and then moved to Dubai.

Since joining The Ballet Centre in 2017 Naomi has furthered her teaching qualifications by recently completing the Progressing Ballet Technique course.

In September 2018 she was promoted to Head of Ballet and Events for The Ballet Centre.
