Founded by Terry Dean in 1985, The Ballet Centre has been inspiring generations in Dubai for over 40 years. As a KHDA-approved performing arts school in Jumeirah, we welcome more than 800 students each week to our Dance, Music and Taekwondo programmes.

Internationally Recognised Standard.
Three departments sit under one roof, so a student can try more than one discipline without moving school.
Music
Individual tuition and group ensembles, with Trinity, ABRSM and MTB examination routes.

Every department follows an established external syllabus, so progress is measured against something real rather than an internal opinion.
KHDA approved
The centre is approved by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai.
RAD and ISTD
Royal Academy of Dance for ballet, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing for tap and modern. Yearly examinations are held in both.
Trinity, ABRSM and MTB
Music examinations are offered through these boards, based on progress and the teacher's recommendation.
ITF
Taekwondo follows the International Taekwon-Do Federation syllabus, taught by professional black belts.
Qualified teachers
Teaching staff are internationally qualified, and several are registered examiners for the bodies we follow.

The Studios.
The building is the school's oldest asset and the reason the brand feels the way it does. Generations of students have trained in these rooms.

Full mirrored walls so students can see and correct their own line.
Sprung flooring
Specialised flooring that cushions movement and protects joints.
Sound systems
Sound systems in the dance studios for class accompaniment and rehearsal.
Studios and performance costumes are also available to rent. Ask at reception for current rates and availability.
Performing Is Part of It.
Students are given real stages to work towards, without being forced onto them.
Recitals and showcases
Held throughout the year. Taking part is encouraged but never mandatory.
Full productions
Biannual dance productions, including staged works such as The Sleeping Beauty and Peter Pan.
Competitions and events
The school attends dance competitions and local events across the UAE.
